I live in Jellamnamdo Province in Korea and the majority of the food here is heavy on pork, fish and other seafood. You could however eat at Buddhist restaurants. I know a muslim kid who only eats at the strict Buddhist restaurants.

The food is generally spicy and they do eat a lot of pork. However, if you live in Seoul, it is not hard to find halal food. There is a very large mosque near Itaewon, which is sort of a foreigner' area near the big army base. They have restaurants and stores that sell halal food.
