The spiritually correct thing to do is not read minds in the first place (I assume you are not talking about the regular guessing of what someone else might do in a given circumstance, which is normal); and if you read someone's mind when you did not intend to, then you should carry on as if you did not know a thing so that you do not encroach on someone else's space.

I am happy you included an option of taking over the world. Many people who had the ability to read minds have picked that option, with devastating effects.

It depends... if I read someone's thoughts and they were considering suicide or something, then I would tell someone so we could get that person some help! But I think for the most part I'd keep it to myself. But, seeing as I don't have that super ability, I'll just leave the "mind reading" up to God.

I'd be too busy trying to figure out how to get as far away from the human race as possible without having to have my sunshine and air piped to me.

There are very few minds that I would care to read, if what most people talk about on a daily basis is any indication of how they think.

As much as I would like to say that I'd use the ability to change the world for the better, and as much as my Machiavellian side would love to use it to gain power, in reality I would probably become too depressed to ever leave the house.

This is assuming that I cannot simply switch off this ability at will.

Reading somebody's has a limited scope and for smaller objective. If it could have unlimted scope, people must have deprive the banks of money and head of states from their authority. If it could have been possible, hypnosis would have been the order of the day.No real development would have taken place and biggest wars would have been fought through the influence on minds.

The honest truth is that I would probably waste it trying to get laid. Especially since I hear that people think about sex around every 7 seconds. So that wouldn't help my own desires.

Btw I've been following you around looking for someone to argue with, but it looks like you don't tend to your own questions.
Why do you ask so many questions if your not going to read the comments?

I think I might go a bit mad at all the thoughts of all the people around me. Barring that, I would keep it to myself with a certain subtle influence to make my life a little easier.

Take over the world. There would be no stopping me. Many times I would know what your going to do before you even do it. It's pretty easy to imagine how I could rocket to the top of the world with that kind of power. Blastoff !

I would slowly influence society to my liking, take over minds, and slowly, very slowly, take over the world.
