Sounds great, who gets to pick it? As a mother, I had a difficult enough time getting my two kids to dress a certain way. Would it be a crime to not obey the dress code? What would the penalty be?
This country can't agree on major issues, there's no way a dress code can be established without at least one group taking offense. And. . . could you imagine the committees that would have to be formed and the amount of money spent and the number of years any proposal would require before passing legislation?
I just read the other responses. . . there's at least a dozen conflicting suggestions as to what the code should be so I'll revise my initial statement.
If a dress code were to be established, only one group would not be offended.

My personal opinion... No.
But for all those who said yes... think about this:
I know those who said yes to the dress code are probably thinking about the goths, gang members, or other people who are looked down upon by the majority of society. You would probably want them to start wearing suit-type clothes, to look proper and form-fitted to your idea of utopia. But what would you do if the dress code was not that at all. What if the dress code were to make everybody wear sagging clothes, all black, and chains everywhere? Maybe the dress code were to make you look like a crackhead? You probably wouldn't agree with the dress code anymore, would you?

Businesses can have dress codes. No country should. It would be a violation of the universal rights of human beings.

It would make it easier when you get up in the morning.
When I was in the military it was a no brainner. Same outfit every day. Just like the Amish? lol
No, it would get very boring having everyone look alike.
Maybe when we are old old old and in a nursing home it would be ok...but for now I don't think you would like dressing like a bunch of clones. Too boring.

A dress code should only be used for those people who hurt others eyes by what they wear. Example: Men in spandex??? A big no no.

Oh come on now, think this through.
Would affect thousands of jobs, mess up the economy. All of the seamstresses out of work, fabric manufacturers out of business, models out of work, advertisers in newpaper, magazines. Equipment suppliers for the sewing houses out of business. Dye companies, designers for shoes, hats, jewelry, etc., etc. out of work.
And not least, a country of boring little clone like people trotting around.

Hi, you need to clarify your question, are you obessed or feeling uneasy the way girls dress in your country, because certainly no country has any objection the way men dress in their country.
