I don't want to have to use iTunes all the time. I like iTunes. I need iTunes, but it's too big of a program. it's a cpu hog. i'm looking for a small program that will play mp3s, and a few wmas, although that's not too important. needs to play mp3s tho. but i want it to do nothing else. i don't want it to make a library or sort or rename or move any of my music. I just want the program to open when i click on an mp3 and i want it to play the mp3. and i want it to play it only a few seconds after i click the file. my pcu isn't the fastest and i'm using old RAM, but still, my pc isn't that bad. it should be able to open a simple program and play an mp3 within a second or two. iTunes can take up to a minute to play the song and (sorry but that annoys the hell out of me). i know that once iTunes is up and running, it plays songs quickly. But, Me, the number of times i start up my computer and play one song, far outweighs the number of times I had iTunes running and capitalizd

There are a hell LOT of them. I myself use four different software depending on my mood.

AlSong (Free) : http://altools.net/

Windows Media Player 11

JetAudio Basic (Free)

Zortam Mp3 Studio Professional(Not free, but the Personal version is free)

Just do a Google search, and you will be taken to their sites.
