Christians don't let the laws of America dictate to them how they should live their lives and their family. Which law or laws do you tell the government to "butt out" of where you and your family is concerned?

In all reality, Christians follow God's laws, not man's! If I were old enought to marry & have a family, I for one, would allow the government to tell me how to raise my family, raise my kids, and certainly no taxes! That's the price for your freedom to live in America, you're payng for protection!

According to the Bible, we are supposed to obey God's laws first, man's laws second.

A very valid question in this day and age.
We are under obligation to obey the government of the lands where we live. Nowhere in the Bible is open rebellion or anarchy endorsed. On the contrary Romans 13:1 says, "Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God." But the scripture did say "relative positions." If the governments command that we do something contrary to God's laws or that we not do something He has commanded us to do, we would obey God rather than man. Acts 5:29 says, " In answer Peter and the [other] apostles said: 'We must obey God as ruler rather than men.' " For example, if a human government commands that we go to war, whereas the Bible specifically states that we must not kill, the choice is clear. Obeying God takes precedence over obeying earthly governments.
Have a good day!

Well in reality we do follow the governments laws because god allows them to be in power that means following the laws and paying your taxes although we should not put trust into them because they are just governments made by man and since man is imperfect we should not but trust in the men and woman president, dictators, queens and kings, and any other politician

This is a toughy for me because obviously a lot of laws now contradict God's Word. And in the Bible it talks about an antichrist leader who will fool so many people into thinking he is of God. So, as much as I can, I try to follow God's word even if it doesn't coincide with the laws of the country.

In 1 Peter 2, the apostle tells Christians to submit to all types of governing authorities as a testimony for good to them. However, there was another speech he made years earlier where some local leaders told him to do one thing, but Jesus told Peter to do the exact opposite. In such cases he advocated choosing obeying God. It takes a lot of wisdom and discernment, but Christians ought to be able to tell the difference between God-ordained civil disobedience and selfishness.

The Bible commands us to follow the earthly government laws providing it does not conflict with the laws of God. Abortion for example. A Christian would not believe in abortion even though it has been legalized by our government. That is why we protest against it.

We must obey God as ruler rather than men but we are also to obey the laws of the land whenever they do not infringe on God's laws.

Social workers. We born again Christians have no use for them as the way we raise our kids. If I think my younger child deserves a good spanking, he/she will get one. In the Bible it does tell us that we should discipline our children and also one of the Ten Commandments says to honor thy father and mother. I try and stay as far away from government and state officials as I can get.

That would be contrary to the Will and Word of God. The Bible says that we are to obey the rules of the land (in which we live). While we may not partake in anything that is contrary to what God has state in the Bible, we are not vigilantes. May God Bless U.
