I've read about some idiotic people but this guy totally takes the cake. Not to mention, he's a minister, not a doctor, so his words don't hold any weight. I seriously hope that no real doctors would fall for and go through with what he is advocating.

It's one thing to hold a belief for or against homosexuality. But this is in a whole different ballpark when you start screwing with people's health and lives the way he plans to. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if his surgery plans ended up killing or endangering unborn babies necessarily. Then when they do, who's willing to bet he'll say "it was God's plan that they die then". I cannot believe that any God could possibly be that sadistic.

Even if it's just hormone treatment, he doesn't care that he is putting an unborn baby's life at risk because his religion is much more important?

because he's an idiot, just like you said. He's just taking it into "sue you for malpractice" territory.

I really hope you're not referring to Dr. Albert Mohler. He is a real Christian and in NO way supports abortion, he was simply speaking about a scientific study done on SHEEP.
The scientists discovered they could change the sexual orientation of sheep by injecting particular hormones into the pregnant female at the right time. He was discussing the ramifications of applying this new science to humanity, but he does not support aborting babies.

Anyone who wants to can listen to his broadcast, for free, on his website, albertmohler.com

TAKEN STRAIGHT FROM YOUR ARTICLE LINK:
"I wonder if people actually read what I wrote," Mohler said in a telephone interview. "But I wrote the article intending to start a conversation, and I think I've been successful at that."
END QUOTE

Why don't you do that, go to his website and actually LISTEN to what he said.

And by the way, he IS a real doctor. He holds a PhD and anyone who holds that degree in any subject is entitled to be called Doctor.

i read an article on that this morning, i don't think he wants surgery, just hormone treatment or genetic manipulation. of course, its very hard to isolate genes for anything, and altering them can cause unexpected repercussions in other areas. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out. The crazy religious people are still fighting about whether homosexuality is a "lifestyle choice" or not. When they figure out it isn't, they still have to decide whether it's acceptable or not. Then, they have to decide whether gene manipulation is justifiable in changing them. it could take awhile.
