Sliced avocados are good on most salads.
If you are looking to try different types of salads, try this:
Spinach
Mandarin oranges
Sliced strawberries
Walnuts
Cottage Cheese(Preferably the low-fat kind) for a dressing or a sweet dressing, like blood-orange vinaigrette
Or, try this... it's a Caprice salad:
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced Mozzarella
Spinach leaves
Olive oil and Balsamic dressing
(Stack the above in a tower=tomato, spinach, mozzarella, spinach, etc.)

I put cucumbers,red onion,julienne carrots and celery,pickled cauliflower,pickled beets,black olives and halved tomato slices seasoned with red wine vinegar and olive oil on our salad also dry oregano and basil crushed and put on top. Hope I explained this ok...my hubby loves it :) I grow romaine and spinach so use this.

Any kind of cheese, sunflower seeds, chopped nuts, sundried tomatoes, bacon bits, chopped hardboiled egg, avocado, roasted soy nuts, edamame, some people like fruit such as grapes, chopped apples, mandarin orange segments or dried cranberries.

, make a welted salad just make a regular salad and bacon dripping's over it . just two or three tablespoon's of dripping's chopped pecan's, peanut's ,chopped apples , whole kernel corn ,green bean's , cottage cheese ,sour cream ,crouton's , orange slice's . you eat it you top it
