it is very easy to learn to read in Arabic es specially the Arabic Koran it falls in tune with the human body, the pulses and the breathing, plus the Arabic Koran is easy to remember if.

i myself is non Arab speaking but have many verses and chapters to memory, there are no alternative when prayers are recited it must be in Arabic.

when non Arab speaking people go hajj they learn few portions of the Koran and how to perform ritual prayer.

hope that can answer your question

like Marmaduke picthall says the Koran moves men to tears and ecstasy.

That's true. Arabic is the only acceptable form of the Qur'an. Most Muslims believe that the true words are not possible to understand except in Arabic. Therefore I would assume that the person making the pilgrimage would know some Arabic.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of islam and those are
Toheed (Oneness of ALLAH)
Prayer (Five times of day)
Fasting(Every islamic year)
Charity( Every islamic year)
Hajj (Every Islamic year but minimum once in a lifetime if you can afford the transportation and living expenses being in saudi arabia)

All the muslim prayers are in arabic as we believe the language after death will also be arabic. All of us will speak arabic by the grace of ALLAH even if you never spoke it in this world. To understand what we pray and offer in the hajj one can easily get the translation in their respective language.
So no problem at all about the prayers and their meanings.

Secondly, even it is in arabic the spiritual effect which hajj has on one's life is so great that it is hard to mention in words.
