So I'm in love with my best friend. He is really sweet and really HOT, but he likes another friend, and practically every girl in the school likes him. What do I do!!!!? I have never been in this situation before, I am more in love every day and while I can help my friends with their relationship problems, I have no idea how to fix my own. Should I just move on and let us continue being friends, or should I ask HIM?

My group of friends uses love to express general affection for eachother, I'm not even sure how we typically tell each other we "like" each other. More than once I have told him I love him, but I don't think he gets it. Guys, If you could tell me what you would do or think if you were in his situation, that would be great too.

Further more, I have been in love with him for a year and a half, and it has only intensified. I can still bear just being friends because he is a great friend, but something has to change. Should I go hang out with other friends and see if I cool off a bit?

Tell him how you feel. It will get to the point where it will destroy your friendship anyway. You will lose him one way or another if you say nothing. But if it's at all possible, wait until he is not so hot over this other girl. He might ignore anything anyone says while he is in heat over her.

The one thing that you don't wanna do is mess up what you 2 have right now. You don't want to sacrifice your friendship for something you are still unsure of. Try to drop hints from time to time to see if anything happens, but if he doesn't get it then you are going to have to decide whether or not you think it is worth it to ask him and put your friendship on the line or not. Personally I would take a chance, life is nothing without chances and whether or not you are ready for the consequences sometimes you just have to act upon your instincts because they are what you think is best. If he doesn't catch any of the hints then just take the plunge and ask him, and if it works out then everything will be great, and if it doesn't work out you guys are best friends and that should push through anything. Love is a gamble, you just have to decide how much you are willing to bet.

if u really luv them, u will make sure that they no it.
when i luved my best friend we went out and it worked out 4 the better.
we learned that dating can be easier sometimes.
after dating 4 a year, we broke up bcuz we wanted 2 c other ppl.
if u really have feelings 4 him u will just ask him out and c how it works out.
i mean wut is there 2 lose? just a lot 2 gain
mayb he feels the same way about u and u shud comfront ur friend 2 c how he feels about u if u r 2 scared 2 ask him urself.
i wud rather take rejection 2 the face rather than ur friend saying it in a nicer way.
rejection is a very important part of a relationship.
if this guy can't be honest with u 2 ur face, he probably isn't worth it.
being friends may cause u 2 c that it will b better 2 just be friends.
but if u want 2 ask him out, u better hurry b4 he asks sum 1 else out or they ask him out.

Well asking him will jeopardize the friendship. But if you're really good friends then it'll come back even if you don't go out. If you do go out then it's even harder if you break up. Remember by asking him out you are admitting that you don't see him as a friend. It might ruin your whole friendship.
You can try to ignore it, but then I never found that to work too well. There's always regreat involved with that. You'll still remain his friend but then you might be insanely jealous, and annoyed by your friend's gf when he gets one and such. Not a good thing to feel. Which ever one you take, try not to regreat the decision.

When an opportunity arises, ask him if he has ever thought the two of you could be more than friends...see what he says. If you really think there could be more take the chance and find out..You deserve to be happy..Best of luck..

You should let him know how you feel. It's always best to be honest with your best friends. If he cares about you he will let you down easy if he just wants to stay friends and not have a romantic relationship.
