I don't know. I think it depends on the couple and how they live their lives. I know senior in their 80's who are still with their first love and I know some that are young and divorced. My relationship/marriage lasted 16 years and then it was over. I am 31 years old and thought it would last forever. I wanted it to, but he didn't. So it depends on the couple and how each individual contributes to the marriage. It is possible if both want it and work at it.

First love is normally a puppy love, casual, exciting, something new, something you want to experience. There is absolutely no guarentee that the relationship is going to be permanent.

Over the years, you may meet someone or he may meet some other girl. The only way to make this going on forever is for both of you to behave matured, love each other and care for each other.

Not likely. The first love probably was a crush type thing, and you will find someone that you like better. My first "true love" was my third girlfriend, and I messed up with her, and we both moved on. After being married several years to my present wife, I still think about my first "true love".
If I could have lived my life over again, I would have married my third girlfriend, my first "true love".

I don't think it's likely but it very well could be possible! My parents have been together since they were 15 and 16 and they are now 53 and 54! :)

I think its rare but I also believe sometimes people get things right the first time, pass on it and end up divorced in the future.

Not likely at all. People need to see what is out there before they decide to settle down with someone.

The odds are against it. Not very romantic but it is statistically true. But it could happen, you are just fighting the numbers.

unlikely, but it doesnt mean that it cant happen. =) my mom told me about the "magic" of knowing my dad was the one, and she said that time sort of stopped, exept they were the only two that could move. it was her and him. the world paused for a moment and she saw him out of everyone else in that crowded bar as did he for her.
