Net2phone is really cheap you have to have a computer and a sound card but you can call overseas for about 5 cents per min. My husband calls his family in France all the time on Net2phone.

One obvious way is to use someone else phone to make the call. :)

Net phone will be free call if from comp to comp. Otherwise you can sign up for the comp to phone calls which will still be at quite low rate compare to if you call phone to phone.

Another way is to buy an overseas calling card and call using the land line. Your overseas calls will be charged at a much lower rate.
