Being on the opposing front is help enough.
-Have many well educated children.
-Shield them from the brainwashing of religion until they are old enough to understand it themselves (then let them make their own decision... they'll usually choose right).
-Refrain from propagating DNA with those of religious inclination. Do not (I repeat: DO NOT) donate sperm to a sperm bank. It seems like easy money, but realize that these nutters can get their hands on your seed.
-Laugh at every single Bible thumper you see. It won't destroy religion, but their reactions are priceless.
Within time, if all goes well, the religious will die off through natural selection (all that abstinence and "sex is baaad" talk). Our children's children will be able to live in a perfect world, where science is allowed to study the truths of the universe and children can play in the nice green pastures where wasteful churches once stood.

You don't by putting it on the defensive. It will only defend. You could be more specific in posting such things. Explain, without abuse, the problems you have with religion. Ask to rectify things. Example: Why does the Gospel of John say that the devil entered the heart of Judas when what he did led to the event that brought about our salvation, (supposedly.) Or here's another-Why does Judas appear to die differently in the acts of the Apostles than in the Gospels? Get people thinking, not defending.

Leave it be. As long as they're people, they'll be religion. Some people need it. Why destroy something that doesn't have an affect on you? Are you that bored that you need to worry about other people's beliefs? If so, get a PS3 and play a game or something. Live & let live.

Dogmas are easier to destroy than God. Since it is the destruction of religion that you are talking about, just look to the doctrine that doesn't match up. Spirituality is a different story. You can't kill God, only the false stories associated with him. Those stories are what are destroying religion. Keep religion to the doctrine and stay away from the dogmas to preserve it.

Just keep doing what you are doing, you wont destroy religion, you will most certainly destroy yourself. You are a religion, and dont even realize it.
