Well first find out what the problem is, (for instance his image, or his reputation, or the way he treats you, or how your parents act, or how they treat him, etc.) If its something that involves misjudgment then try talk with your parents and your boyfriend about how this is affecting you, and how much it means to you that they get along. With your parents tell them out of anyone else in the world they should be happy that you found someone that makes you happy. (In other words why would they want you with someone in which they like but your unhappy with.) Also tell them about the good qualities your boyfriend has and how good he is to you. As for your boyfriend tell him to make an effort wanting to get along with your parents, so they can see that he does want to get along with them, that you do mean a lot to him, and that he cares about your feelings. if they don't get along with each other, make sure he knows that it is very hard trying to keep a relationship. I hope this answer helps you find what you were looking for.

well maybe you should talk to your parents about why they don't like your boyfriend and maybe you should talk to your boyfriend about why he doesn't like your parents. maybe this might help work out a little of your troubles.

Oh this is so totally normal. If your parents did like him you probably wouldn't. All that matters is that they are civil towards one another in your company.

I don't know your situation but a lot of times friends and family see things that you do not. If your family doesn't like him, you are in for a long road of headaches.

Until they really get to know him and see the type of person he is theyll probably just not like him.

If your parents have a problem with him that's their problem; not his and not yours. You shouldn't let them come between you.

Not much. You could try but I suspect they will never like him.
