So a limit is set, for mans fruitful seed planted in earth dust,
And for Satan who caused it, what was any life to him worth,
His own or angels who do not die, brought sin to us on earth.
John 8:44; Luke 20:34-36; Gen.6:2,4; Jude 6; 2Pet.2:4;
There's a time limit in this world from Eden, soon it will end,
God knows the day and hour, enemies end, to Jesus a Friend,
Jesus was cut off by Satan, his angels, his men as all in sin,
Jesus has earned the right to end sin, to make all perfect again.
Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12 [ Satan has a short time ] Dan.12:1-13 end time.
How many angels and men will be for Satan when time is up,
How many will be for Jesus with bread and wine of his cup,

Gen. 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. And certainly Matt. 5.5 says that the meek shall inherit the earth.
Note that Gen. 8:22 does not say that the earth will continue for ever. Second God is now creating a new heaven and a new earth and it is that earth that the meek shall inherit.
II Peter 3: 9-12 Verse 10 alone says: "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
There are many others throughout the Bible. If they do not seem to agree, then you may not be reading them correctly, reading out of context, missing related statements. Sometimes it is wise to use more than one translation.

Watch how you lump a group all together as if they all have the same mind or level of understanding! I'm a christian and have never claimed the earth gets destroyed. The earth's EVIL gets destroyed as Jesus renews and restores the earth. The earth as we know it ends, but the earth itself will never totally get destroyed if you read Revelation. So, you are right in Genesis "will never cease". I think some christians just assume the earth gets totally destroyed, only because they didn't quite understand how Jesus renews this earth. So, God is not lying and some christians just don't know. This doesn't in any way diminish their belief and love for their Savior. We christians don't know it all. We are GROWING in Christ.

2 Peter 3:13
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
Revelation 21:1
[ The New Jerusalem ] Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

I don't see the conflict. God is simply saying in Genesis that earth will continue on. Jesus said that man will inherit the earth and so we will. Christians do not say the earth will be destroyed. Our belief is that after the tribulation period described in the book of Revelation, those that followed Jesus will stay on the earth but the earth then will be a place where Satan will no longer be a factor. I do not believe that all good people will go to heaven. It is my interpretation that only the martyrs will go to heaven. (Those that died because of their faith)

God cannot lie. He explains that the earth will be destroyed as it was in the days of Noah. In Noah's day, the things that were destroyed were the things which man had created, the people who refused to listen to God's words and pay attention to anything other than their own desires. Some Christians do not understand it yet but many are still trying. God knows their hearts and will not destroy them as long as they are.

Huh
Explain yourself
Genesis 8:22 for all the days the earth CONTINUES
That leaves open the possibility it may not always continue but be finite.
It just a GENERAL statement.
As for the MEEK inheriting the Earth, well the Amish are such as are others.
When DOOMSDAY comes it may not touch Greenland's interor or Alaska or the Congo
The MEEK might be there farming and acting like nothing is happening while the WAR of good and evils occurs miles aways.
NOw, what's your POINT
What's your question.

It also says there will be a new earth.
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
2 Peter 3:10-13 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
John says in Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth."
That's right, the Bible never teaches that we will spend eternity in Heaven. It teaches that we will spend eternity in new bodies in a New Jerusalem on a new earth, and it further teaches that God will come down to that new earth and live among us: "I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them'" (21:3). He's going to wipe away every tear from our eyes, and there will no longer be any suffering - no pain, no death, no sorrow (21:4). He is going to make all things new, and we are going to live in perfect bliss in the New Jerusalem (21:5).

Asker, you have to cite accurately the Bible you are using. The only Bible I have available that uses the term "mild-tempered" is wyclif and it is in middle English. Bibles vary so much in content it is a type of etiquette to reveal the Bible you are using if questioned on a quote. If you continue to post without giving the Bible used there is no reason your statements can't be ignored as fake.
Most here know I am a Pagan. They also realize I know the Bible and it's variability because there are many Bibles in my Library. Therefore, they also know--to quote an arabic saying--the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Anyone who hides sources is going to get corrected even if the answers you propose could help my posts.
