Goodness yes. Both sexes need to cultivate a little more discretion when looking for a life mate and that is definitely an important factor for some people.
But if it is love, I mean enduring love, something based on interests, companionship, communication and laughter and depth, then league should not be an issue. Sometimes cultural issues can certainly complicate matters but things are still doable.
It is a matter of the chemistry and how you make each other feel on all levels.

Er, well if you mean he's hotter than you by "not in your league," it may be intelligent to stay away b/c if your only intentions w/ him are shallow, it's gonna come back around and he's going to find someone he likes more (on the surface) who's "in his league."
If he's "not in your league" because he's not as hot as you, he may be dating *you* for all the wrong reasons. Maybe not. Just be weary of the fact that he may be too possessive and self-conscious/insecure as well if you're wayy hotter than him.
In an ideal dating world, there would be no "leagues," alas...

Yeah I have, as shallow as that is.
If they werent popular than I wouldnt even think twice about it.
Now that I have matured a lil, I realize how judgmental that is and deep down that guy could be a really good guy.
Sometimes you just gotta take the chance to find out, and stop worrying about what other people think. <3

Oh yeah ! theres guys at my school who i wouldnt mind dating but im more of a party gurl and hang out with people older then me and dating someone my age and who isnt quite the same type as me wouldnt wor out so great and i would feel like i would lose my rep at school ! .. but i look over my shoulder and realize if im so worried about whhut people would think of me dating someone normal im not a really nice gurl and who ever im affraid to date deserces somethen way better then me ! .. i juss think its better for me to go for someone who has the same interests as me and is older and mature ! .. i juss feel so bad ! but if thats whut ur feeling u can either ignore whut people say about it or go along wth your life goen for the guys who suit you the best !.. just dunt let things get to you so much !.. and u shouldnt worry about whut people say !.. juss be yourself and go for whut u think is right for you ! .. if u can do that then your an awesome person and i will probly look up to you ! =)

No, I have the opposite problem. I am in noone's league, futhermore, I do not have a league. Personality is first, looks are just a bonus.
