They are asking the same thing about the rest of the world. To them everyone else is driving on the wrong side of the street. To them, being involved in a head on accident where the driver is further away from each other means better chance of survival. Hitting the part of a car where no one is sitting is better than if someone was sitting there. And look at the normal size of their vehicles. Extremely small, usually two seat-er (two people) only.

We drive on the proper side. The left. Napolean started all the drive on the wrong side nonsence, with typical French arrogance and anti-British sentiment. So they drove on the right.
I assume America drive on the right because they were against Britain and with France before the war of independance.

Originally most countries drove on the left.
now 34% of the worlds population drive left and 66% right
and it isn't just British and commonwealth countries, Japan,Indonesia,U.S Virgin Islands to name a few

Scuse? The Brits have the steering wheel on the right hand side of the car. from the early days of car making, they figured the driver should be in the right hand seat.

We drive on the left in New Zealand and when i went to usa i kept getting into the drivers seat as its the passenger seat in nz.
