The spot stays oily no matter what. This happens regardless of whether or not I use hair products. What can I do to remedy this?

It maybe that you aren't washing all of your shampoo out.

the more oil in your hair, the less you need to wash it every week. My hair dress tells me to only wash my hair like every 3 days. Otherwise you will just cause your hair to produce more oil with daily washing.
you might try putting powder in it as another poster suggested. That is supposed to help soak up the oil. You also might still have shampoo stuck in your hair. Be sure you rinse really well.

use baby powder. run it in your hair before you take a shower. it works for me, however, i may have different hair.
