I'd like to bring a friend with me to the gym and I saw that they have a 2 weeks guest pass. Is there a catch to this, anyone know?

I don't know about this pass in particular, but I had a free 30 day pass for Bally's a few years ago. The only "catch" to the pass at the time was I was trapped in an office while I listened to the sales guy at the gym talk about all they had to offer, and what would make me want to buy my membership as opposed to having a free gym membership at the base I was stationed at (military has free access to base gyms). I got a tour around the gym that was way too fast for me to remember anything, then I was sent on my way.
I quickly learned I hated Bally's. The staff was rude, the members were rude, I hated the fact we had to sign up for machines like the treadmills (even if the gym was empty we still had to sign up for them), were limited to 30 minutes on the machines, then would be kicked off by staff and other guests if you went over your time, even though there were 10 other empty treadmills next to yours. Not to mention, the machines were so crowded together, it didn't even feel comfortable in there. Needless to say, out of the 30 days that pass was valid for, I used it for 3 days, then never went back.

I currently have a membership for Gold's Gym and absolutely love it. I'd recommend Gold's over Bally's any day.
