I live in Fairfax VA, and I recently bought some property for cheap, and it was below its assessed tax value. My taxes are pretty high right now, so I was wondering if there is a way to have my real estate taxes re-evaluated so my taxes will decrease?

it is possible, i am in PWC.
You need to pull comps on at least 3 or more houses like yours that have sold recently. If all are down then there is a good chance to get a re-appraisal.
However if you bought it because of condition that can be restored and the value goes back to the listing in the tax book - then it will not get a re-eval. I had a Friend buy a few fixer uppers and it just did not pay to fight the cost difference. He just passed the cost on in the re-sell.

BTY if your car has high milage on it - go to the county building with proof of milage as close to the first of the year as possible and they will re-adjust your PP tax also. I did this with my truck on principle because it had 155K on it.

i think of Obama is the actual defenition of an African American. His father is african, and his mom is american. Rod Blago had no precise to assert that because of the fact some blacks have not grown up undesirable, many have been blessed to have money, some did no longer improve up around different blacks. some did no longer stay in a small aparment. you comprehend?

You can appeal the assessment. It doesn't automatically get lowered just because you paid less than the assessed value though.

Nope, otherwise all of the liberals would be selling to all of their family for pennies.
