Every muscles workout burns fat. Ab workouts arent for your stomach fat they are for the muscle under the fat. Because you can not spot reduce. So if you have fat legs you could do sit ups and get skinnier legs. Do many sit ups, very important you will not get bulk from these. And if you dont like too much muscle do less sit ups. With working out too much is never usually the case. I am sure you would be glad with your results.

Depends my buddy & I went to boot camp together he was about 200 not musular but not fat either. I was 140 & not skin & bone but didnt have a gut either. At the end of basic I was toned but downe to 125 while my friend was toned & dropped 50 pounds yet we both did the same daily workouts yet we lost different amounts. The recruiter said that part of it was that I went in with less flab so I had less to lose before building muscle while my friend had more flab & thus more losed before building the on muscle. You have to lose the fat before you can build the muscle.

Ok so I would recommend, if you want to slim down your legs, you do medium or low intensity LONG DISTANCE running, long distance running creates long and lean thin muscles, do not do lots of sprinting, that create the short and bulky muscles. but what you have is good, this should help you slim down, but i recommend long distance running and ALWAYS stretch, if you don't stretch your muscles will be shorter creating shorter legs, you always want to stretch at the end, I know whenever i run more than 5 kilometers i spend at least 45 minutes stretching, but if u can't spend as much time as possible and add yoga or pilates that would be really good, but you don't have too. Oh and you can't bulk up unless you are gaining fat, remember muscle weighs more than fat, but your body needs fat to turn into muscle, it can't just build up muscle, so don't worry about forming too much muscle unless your gaining weight. because all it will do is turn your fat into muscle. so i reccomend doing long distance running until you slim down, and then adding muscle workout to turn that into muscle and appear leaner
