The bible tells all those who believe in it that Jesus will return to save the loyal once again.

My ex once represented a man who was convinced he was the second coming of Jesus. Had no money, worked at a local soup kitchen, and was only arrested when he kept telling a local priest that money wasn't the way to the Lord.
This man was sent to a hospital for the mentally incoherant (nice term). Not the first time this has happened to someone.

My questions is this. In the current age of man how will the Christians/Catholics etc. know Jesus when he comes? Or is he locked up in an asylum somewhere already?

I am not a Christian, I'm just pointing out an inconsistency with the bible (blame it on my lack of faith if you will)... and my ex wasn't ill, he was defending the man - not the one who put him there.

By all accounts, Jesus was a leftist activist tortured and executed by a right-wing ruling elite. For all we know, Bush has him lying naked and trying to sleep on a metal floor in a cell in Guantanamo right now.

That's a good question, and I'm not sure if there's necessarily an inconsistency.

We (Christians) may disagree on how He will return, but there is no question of Jesus' Second Coming. The allusions in Scripture (Corinthians and Revelations) indicate that there will be no doubt whatsoever as to its occurence - it will be obvious, perhaps the most obvious event of history.

I have to wonder if there was something else about the man you mention other than his insistence that money isn't the way to the Lord (side note: this is a no-duh sort of thing, and if money wasn't needed to keep the church maintained, provide for ministry, keep the lights on and feed and clothe the clergy, there'd be no need for collections), since putting someone in a mental institute is quite an ordeal in this day and age.

Hello, Ranting:

Jesus told us there would be many false christs and saviors, so we need not be alarmed that His words are true--It was humorous to note that "Jesus" Manson was found hiding by the police--he was under the kitchen sink at the Spawn Ranch.

There are many signs to fulfill before Jesus come, most are described in Matthew 24, Paul gives us some more in 2 Thessalonians 2. And because the last day church keeps God's 10 Commandments, you will know impostors because they will tell you one or the other, or all of them, are not important--Satan has always told us to just sin a little.

To confirm that we are living at the end of history, you can discover a hidden "key" to unlock the only part of the Bible that was "sealed until the end of the days." It is posted at "source":

Blessings, One-Way

what's usually frequently going on of as Easter, is quite a seasonal Jewish ceremonial dinner called Passover. Biblically Jesus gets back at "the 2d coming". it ought to or won't coincide with a Jewish ceremonial dinner, yet Passover has been fulfilled already. His return would be on the tip of a 7 3 hundred and sixty 5 days tribulation. it extremely is now 2010.. so with the help of counting on my own, it might may be the three hundred and sixty 5 days 2017. i'm in basic terms asserting that to show out that there is not any tribulation going on now, and the three hundred and sixty 5 days 2012 could be too quickly. i'm no longer making any predictions of whilst Jesus will return.

The christian will already be gone (raptured) to heaven 7 yrs before the second coming of Christ. At the end of this 7 yr tribulation period on earth when Jesus cleanses the earth of all the evil thru judgements, Jesus returns on a white horse to put an end to the last war and EVERY knee shall bow and confess that He is Lord (biblical). So obviously, everyone will know He is Lord. Read Revelation - it tell the future of both the believer and nonbeliever. It also warns us of people who claim to be christ (false christs) and to use discernment with the Word of God. Christians are enlightened thru the Word and the Holy Spirit. We know Our Father.

Christian just for the record the man you have come to worship as Jesus is your anti-Christ if you take the time to look beyond your own bible to find out real truth.

You have been set up over there because to think that the bible you read is without major mistakes or distortions. Most Christian only know What is being preached from the pulpits and many don't even understand there own bible.

If you sat and really read the verses of your bible you would get how stupid your book really is.

Spend a day on the website www.godisimaginary.com and see if your religion hold up to scrutiny.

Well, I would say the first place to look is in the Bible, that would be the generally accepted source for definitive answers to this sort of question (any other source would be open to much question and dispute over authority). I do recall there being something pretty specific on this, but I'll have to look it up, be right back . . . Let's see, if you have a Bible open it up to 1st Thessalonians, chapter 4, verses 13 through 18: "Brothers [and sisters], we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words."

So you can see that it will be pretty clear on His return, and not only that, but the believers will all be caught up together to meet him. That will be a real separation of the sheep and the goats, there's no fooling the Lord as to who believes in Him and who doesn't!

EVERYBODY... everybody will know it is Him when He comes. Those that know Him will rejoice. Those that ignored Him to that point will realize it was a huge mistake!! There will still be hope for them but it will be incredibly difficult.

The Bible actually tells that Jesus will return the first time to take up His church, His bride, to a place prepared for them, close to Him.

He came the first time 2000 years ago to save. That was meant to include everyone. All you have to do is receive that free gift that He worked out on the cross.

This is one of many descriptions of the second coming of Christ. When you read it I think you will agree that there will be no mistaking it.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

According to the book of Revelations, in the Bible, Jesus will come again on a white horse. He will descend from heaven onto the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

Arvin has the scripture. I will put it in street jargon. for five months before the real Christ gets here Satan will be here pretending to be Christ. and he will be performing miracles in the sight of man. and most everybody will be fooled. So how do you know the real Christ from the phony Christ? Christ told us that if somebody has to TELL you Christ is here ,then it is the phony. Christ also said when He comes we will all see Him at once. This will be accomplished without .TV, .satellites
