How come Christians know every single personal detail about Adam & Eve, down to their eating habits and their sexual relations, the names of their children, and their discussions with God, but when asked about what they actually looked like, every Christian replies with the monotone mass-trained "what does it matter?" as if it's the first thing they are taught to say in Bible school? Why don't you know? You claim to know every other minute detail, so it's a little suspicious that you can't answer this simple and obvious question.

Hello. Well, I can make no claim to be an authority or spout iron clad information to persuade you. What I do know is that Eden was in Africa, and Adam and Eve were clothed with the glory of God and with His righteousness (thus the reason their nakedness was not an issue... I believe). Any stance we take that is OUTSIDE the scope of revelation of the Bible, it is speculation... not to say it may be true! God made Adam (and Eve) a SPIRIT, gave them a soul and they lived in a BODY! Though they were in a flesh body, it was their spirits that were the far more essential and predominate matter of thier existence. I do tend to think they had some pigmentation which is only natural, but before sin entered it was perfect and unspotted in any way. If you are really interested in how they look, accept Jesus as your personal Savior and when you die you'll see exactly how all those old testament saints looked like. My internal thought about that wonderful homecoming once the WHOLE family of God has been united is that Abba Father will get out the footage of our lives and show how the miracles were done. I just personally like that one, though I believe we'll know because He will share it with us. So here's my thought on this friend.

They were medium brown. Like the arab or the mediterranian people. This would provide them with the right combination to have very white and very dark skinned grand children depending on what region of the earth they were going to inhabit.

Thus some children went north and lost some of thier skin color (melatonin) seeing as how with the weaker sun up north. There was no need for dark skin. Also the sun beeing weaker they lost the amounts of melatonin in their body allowing for lighter hair also. And reatined the basic facial features of their ancestors.

Some went South into Africa particularly. And thus with a stronger sun became darker skined. Also with such a stron sun the hair became more dense and curly to protect thier scalp from the hot sun beating down.

And some went east into large areas of the globe covered in ice. And from the sun glaring of the ice they deleoped an extra fold over thier eyelid to protect thier eyes. Reatained the black hair to keep the heat on thier head. Since 70% of the bodies heat is lost from the top of the head. And the color black absorbs and retaines heat.

you see, we don't know every stinking detail about adam and eve, or any other person for that matter, the reason we know what we know is because it is in the bible, such as the names of their children, and their discussions with God, but think about this. seriously, what does it matter what color of skin they had, it could be purple for all i care, the important part is they were the start of sin, and the reason you are here today doing what you are doing this very second. they also had the privlige of naming all the animals. can you emagine coming up with the name elephant or zebra, or ostrige. if ya ask me, that would be pretty amazing.

Adam and Eve were not real. They're presented to convey an idea to the reader of the Bible, namely that if you piss God off you'll get yours. All of the other things you describe contribute to the moral message that the author was trying to get accross (sexual habits, eating habits) - looks don't matter in that case. You can't give a physical discription of people who didn't exist

The Bible does not give insight on this detail, so we don't know. God did not think it was important to put in his word and I don't think its very important either. How is it suspicious that we can't answer this question, what significance is there to Adam and Eve's skin color. Bottom line, it is not important.

I think a lot of Biblical scholars associate the area that Adam and Eve lived in to Egypt. A guy recently wrote a book, I think it was called "Where God Was Born" or something and he claimed it all started in Iraq. Either way, it was probably a somewhat dark skin tone.

AGAIN Adam and eve were the first of the Jewish race. the other races were created long before them. If you want to see what Adam and Eve looked like just find some one of pure Jewish decent , and that is pretty much what Adam and Eve looked like.

I am not a Christian but I hear you loud and clear. What else would you expect from a group that uses only arguments from there false book to explain why there religion is true.

The religious is like a child that will tell you my parent is more right than your parent. When you ask them how do they know they will just say because my daddy (there bible) told me so.
