If the normal fixes--don't drink caffeinated drinks before bed; try to relax and slow down before bedtime; keep the lights down before bedtime; go to bed at the same time every night; use the bed to sleep, not read, do your taxes, etc.; and TURN OFF THE TV--aren't working, you might have something called: Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. Especially if you can't get out of bed before, like, 10:00 a.m.

It could be an issue of your body being tired but your brain still wrestling with some issues you haven't faced yet. This is speculating for lack of details.

Is there something going on lately that has your subconscious occupied? I would recommend meditations when you lay down for the night. Try lying perfectly still in a comfortable position and concentrate on relaxing all your muscles one at a time starting at your head. You will be surprised how many muscles that you hold tense all day.

Sounds like you have a sleep problem like me. I eventually cycle around to an earlier time. You may want to review this with your doctor... I take a prescriptive drug called Trazadone daily.... you may require an aid. I've found that a strenuous exercise routine helps you go to sleep quicker. Good luck.

Maybe if you sleep in late, or go on the computer right before you go to bed. The monitor's bright lights drive away sleep

Make sure you go to bed without the TV or music on. Quiet surroundings help.
