Well, first I would have to know they are non-believers...you cannot tell by looks. Regardless of their faith or lack of, I would see them as who they are first aside from religion. If they asked questions about what I believe I would tell them...otherwise I would keep my mouth shut.

This is what I know from experience. When I am in the word each day, praying, confessing, repenting, studying, questioning....the Holy Spirit really begins working. The more we are doing what we are supposed to be doing, the more doors God opens for us to show His love. 9 times out of 10 when I am living the way I know I should be, people question my happiness. They don't understand how I can be like that. Generally they say "whatever you are taking to feel the way you do...can I get some??" And...booom, God has opened a door. If we are not ready or prepared, many doors will be shut. It is not my job to make anyone a believer. I can't make that decision for anyone. It is my job to answer questions that are asked, to ask questions in return, and to give my testimony, plant seeds. If someone becomes a Christian because of the things I have said, then Praise God!! I hope this makes sense.
Anyhow, when someone comes to me with a different belief, I want to know what it is. I want to hear what they have to say. If I listen to them, then they will also listen to me. I don't jump down their throats and tell them they are wrong. That isn't what God would do. This also gives me a chance to spend some time in prayer, asking that God to give me the words I need and the attitude to go along with it..(this is where the Holy Spirit really jumps in.) I never tell anyone that they are wrong. I just like to listen so I can then say, "Well, you said......and that is very interesting because I believe." It really helps to open up room for discussion without being judgemental or making them feel uncomfortable.
This is also where you have to be very careful, because many religions have the same GOD. It can sound like you are both talking about the same thing. I have personally studied many different religions. This way I can help them to point out things in their religion that might contradict what they say. The problem is, far too many people claim to be religious based on a few simple things they have heard. They don't necessarily do the research though. Well, I hope this has helped some. If you want further suggestions, contact me because I have a lot more. May God Bless you on your mission to reach out to others, may He comfort you and help you to be confident in what you say and do. God Bless!! :)

I live in Japan. So, I can't really go up to someone and say, "Are you washed in the Blood?" I would probably get run out of town with that approach. My approach is not really an approach, because I allow people to approach me about my religion. My vegetarian and no alcohol lifestyle is my door in. When I go out to parties and such and I ask, "What is in that dish?" or "Is there meat in that?", always raises question from people. Then I can introduce my God to them.
When people ask about my dietary habits, I also have the scientific research to back up my lifestyle so the facts I present make them think deeper about their own life. So my "approach" is very non-obtrusive and not intimidating. So the people will not lose face. And they can keep their distance if they wish. I trust the Holy Spirit will work on their heart.
I never tell someone that they are wrong out right. I listen, then I usually say, "That is interesting. This is what I believe." Then I open the Bible and go from there. I don't ever let someone go without making sure they understand my point of view. I also make it a point to not be argumentative. Now, I do correct misunderstandings out right, especially if those misunderstandings are about me, or what I believe.

I've always believed that actions speak louder than words. I think living, rather than just talking, your faith is the strongest example you can set. I do it through small things like not losing my temper (even when I'm provoked), trying to understand other people's point of view, being there for them when they've been down, and most importantly, forgiving. And whenever people have asked how I'm able to do these things, especially forgive, I have been happy to share my faith.
I feel if God intended everyone to think / look the same, He would have made us all the same. But the very fact that there's so much diversity on His earth should tell us that differences aren't bad. Also if everybody thought the same thing, then we'd probably still be stuck in the Stone Ages.
For me, the most important lesson from Christ is 'Love one another as you love yourself'.....He doesn't say love other Christians, he says love one another.....I take that to mean every human on this planet, regardless of their personal differences.

I prefer to approach them with love and kindness. I do not tell them that they are wrong unless they ask or start a discussion
I believe that the best way to bring a person to Christ is to live the life and be an example, wait and pray, pray, pray for them.

I approach others as God would. I will never turn away from my brothers or sisters. If ever they need an ear that will listen then I'm there, or a handout then they got it if I have it, or some advise then I will give the best I have to offer, or if they just need someone to love them. Then know I do cause I love to live and I live to love everyone.

the holy spirit is what convicts a person, so really i don't think there is any thing we can do.. but live our lives as a light to them, and always pray that GOD uses the Holy Spirit through us, to be a living example of a what a Christian is... when we get into debates with others, it usually doesn't end well ..Pray and let GOD do what he does best .You can always stand for what u believe and not criticize.

That's one of the hardest things being a christian..I don't know if you have ever seen Kirk Cameron {from Growing Pains} on TBN..but he really helped me.He and this other guy have a great approach to it..I really think it might help if you watched it..The only other thing I do is {when I pray} I ask God to lead me in the right direction and use me for His glory..And one of the most important things is be friendly and don't push to hard, because they will get mad and hold it against us..God Bless and good luck

In daily living I try to live what I profess. I guess that would be:
Don't just talk the talk but walk the walk. Most atheists will let you know if they are ready to talk about God. I try to respect that, except in an open forum. At this sight we all profess what we believe. With a certain amount of respect to the individuals involved.

I usually let non-believers approach me. I listen to what they're telling me and then I pray about what to say to them. Sometimes the Holy Spirit gives me something to say to them, and sometimes I get that little 'check' in my spirit that tells me to be quiet and just listen.
If someone is hurting or in need, showing Christ's love to them by listening and caring is usually the only opening you need to be able to tell them about Him.
