The bible is not written to control people. It was written to give insight and knowlegde about the Living God. The bible gives insight to who God is and His holiness. And, it gives insight to God desire to have a intimate relationship with people. Yet, at the same time it shows His indignation towards sin and wickedness and those to desire to live in it. God does not force Himself on anyone, but gives every man his own choice. Which is why Hitler and others like him chose to burn and ban the bible. Hitler went to Catholic shchool as a young man, so he had the opportunity to choose right from wrong.

There's an old Southern saying here in the US:
"Just because a cat has her kittens in the oven, that doesn't make them biscuits."
If Hitler had been a true Christian instead of an occultist who hid behind the name of Christ for his own purposes, then he would have had nothing to fear from the Bible. The Bible wasn't mean to control people, but to show them the way to eternal life through Christ Jesus.
The Bible was a rebuke to everything that Hitler and those like him were doing, and they knew it. You don't burn something you love. . .you burn something you hate and fear.
Another good proof that Hitler was no more a Christian than Fluffy is a Pilsbury brown and serve roll!

First; the BIBLE was not written for the purpose of "CONTROL" upon anyone. This is just your presupposition. Just yours and a handful others.
Hitler was a demented and evil man. Hitler KNEW the power of GOD's WORD upon the heart, and it was clear that not unlike all the hundred's of 'anti-christs' that have come and gone down thru the ages, Hitler only wanted that power unto himself. By keeping the people's eyes blinded; he sure enough accomplish an undertaking neither you nor I could imagine. He anhilated millions and millions of Jewish people; the Lord's CHOSEN ones. He kept the eyes and minds of the killlers themselves BLIND by taking any root, heritage, evangelisation and reading of the WORD OF GOD for themselves.
There is awesome power in the bible, and as the LORD declares; you cannot possibly know unless you are born again, because----the book is INSPIRED BY GOD, and it cannot be understood correctly until you turn to Jesus in faith, and confess HIM as being the Son of GOD. The BIBLE is spiritually discerned. Those 5 words will undoubtably go str8 over your head bc you already deem the innerrant WORD to be a book inspired by men, and with a further dose of falsehood; you believe it to be a book of control.
Is there power to control the masses in the satanic text?
Is there power to control the masses in the islam text?
WHERE exactly is the "to control people" concept coming from?
GOD gave all mankind the free will to CHOOSE CHRIST -or- to (unfortunately) reject Christ. There is NO CONTROL on GOD's part, it is in the wicked ideals of people in (humanly) positions that have twisted the holy writ.
THE BAN, THE BURNING.......
accomplish nothing but a mere inconvenience. For the words of that HOLY BOOK were written upon the hearts and souls of those who trusted in JESUS CHRIST......and were thus enabled to continue to spread the great Gospel.

Because Hitler found a better way to control them like sudden death penalty or put them in the army he only had two ways and for a long time it did work.
I agree the bible was written to control people but I don't understand how it could set them free : (
Freedom (philosophy), the ability to act consciously, in a well-balanced manner and with self control in a given constructive direction
Freedom (political), the right or the capacity of self-determination as an expression of the individual will
Love & Blessings

The bible was written to lead people into a relationship with God, not to control people, or take the place of that relationship that I am speaking of.

The Bible was never meant to conrol anyone or anything...it is the greatest love story ever written about a God who loved us sooooooooo much was willing to send His only begotten Son to pay a price that we could never pay. And this is one of the main differences between Christianity and any other 'religion' out there!!!

The Bible was not written to control people it was written to bring freedom to those who believe. God is gracious and doesn't violate our free will. We have a choice to serve Him or not to. I choose to serve the God of love.
