the only things that matter to have success in a love relationship are:
1) trust
2) love
3) kindness
4) compassion
5) romance
6) HUMOR and LOTS OF IT
7) being able to TALK ABOUT ANYTHING
as long as you have all seven of those things in abundance with the person you are seeing, your relationship will grow solid, and thrive. Here are my tips for keeping those things alive and well in your love relationship:
1) TRUST: make sure that private things you do with one another STAY THAT WAY. dont blabber on and on brag to your friends about your sex life or other personal things about that other person. make sure he/she knows that everything personal will stay between you two. also, make sure that both of you are on the same page as far as your grounds for seeing others. if you THINK your relationship is exclusive, make sure the other person is with you on that before anyone gets hurt. build strong communication skills by having good, long heart-to-heart talks as often as possible, that way, at least on a weekly basis, you can make sure that things are still serious and good.
2) LOVE: Make sure that you never say "i love you" unless you seriously mean it. never say "i love you" just to stop a fight, or just to please the other person. "I love you" are serious words, and should never be just thrown out there.
3) KINDNESS: always be kind with one another. i know its hard, but when you are having problems or issues, think about the things you want to say to one another before you say them. even when you make up, those nasty words you said to one another, will still be stinging, and they will no doubt be brought up in future arguments.
4) COMPASSION: never make fun of one another in a mean way. if you jokingly say something cruel, make sure that the other person knows it was just a joke right away, or you are liable to hurt them really bad, unnecessarily. be sensitive to the other persons needs, and learn to compromise with each other so that there is always a win-win situation. DON'T MAKE PROMISES THAT YOU AREN'T SURE YOU WILL KEEP.
5) ROMANCE: Keep romance alive and well in your relationship as often as possible. you never have to spend tons of money in order to do that. take your lover by surprise by kissing, grabbing for their hands in public, to show them, and the world, that you want everyone to know you deeply love them. leave short and sweet love notes for them whenever possible, especially when you know that person will find it when you are not around, it will put a big smile in their heart! when that person is sleeping, put flowers on her nightstand so when she wakes up, she will have a beautiful surprise. take long, romantic drives around beautiful scenery such as the ocean, or out in the woods or country. a lake or river is always pretty as well. burn them a cd of romantic songs that remind you of them, let them know with song, how deep your love for them goes!
6) HUMOR: make sure that the person you are in love with is someone you can always joke around with. laughing and playing together is often a good way for love-making to start! everytime you laugh with the person you love, you will notice that any bad feelings or emotional pains you have will sort of disappear.
7) BEING ABLE TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING: although humor is a very important aspect of love, you must be able to have serious conversations about things. Whenever you need to have a talk with that person, make sure it is at a time when they aren't distracted by something else. make sure they can and are willing to sit down, and focus all of their attention on you, and the issue(s) at hand. if it is something that could potentially cause an argument, give them a warning, and try not to come at it with an accusatory tone. listen to each other, to make sure that each of u gets to tell your side of the story, calmly! let that person know that it is not your wish for a fight to start, but rather a resolution to manifest. remind them that you are on their side, you love them, and want nothing more than for it to be a win-win situation.
I believe that if you follow those tips, any love relationship you have will be long-lasting, fun, and WONDERFUL! GOOD LUCK.

For my wedding I am having one reading, part of a poem, and this is it (I'm completely in love with it)... Excerpt from Captain Corelli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.

No, they're just there for amusement. It said my friend and her husband weren't compatible and they've been married for 9 years with two kids and seriously the happiest I've ever seen two people in my life. My boyfriend and I show as like 55% successful and I'd say that's really damn low, haha. It's for fun, don't get caught up in it.

i don't think you should trust it. you can take it into consideration but you should really trust yourself and your feelings and how these people react to you.
