The Beretta 92 is well suited to using a silencer. Since the barrel extends about a half inch past the slide, it can easily be threaded to accept a silencer. Most silencer manufacturers or gunsmiths can thread the barrel for you. See the below listed links for dealers to buy from.
To own a silencer (suppressor) in the USA, you need to live in one of the 36 states that allow civilian silencer ownership. The first step is to buy the silencer from a dealer in your state. The dealer will give you an ATF form 4 that you need to bring to your local sheriff for a signature. Then the form is sent to the BATFE along with your mug shot, fingerprints and a check for the $200 tax. Wait 1-3 months for approval then pick it up from the dealer. The form comes back with a canceled $200 tax stamp attached to the form. Now you can take the silencer home. This form/stamp is the only proof that you legally own the silencer. Keep it very safe, and make copies to take with you when you travel with it just in case you are required to prove it is legal. Some states require that the tax form be shown; when it is not required, it is considered to be a confidential tax document and only the ATF should be requesting to see it. Never let anyone copy the approved form.
No license is ever required for an American civilian to make own buy or sell a silencer. Importers, manufacturers and dealers are licensed as class 1, 2 or 3 special occupational taxpayers. Silencers are more properly called title 2 weapons. The word silencer is a legal term used by the federal government; they are more properly called suppressors or moderators. You should not expect a silencer to actually silence any firearm. A 9mm pistol will still be at least 120 decibels loud. But an unsuppressed pistol will be about 30 decibels (one thousand times) louder. A good silencer will reduce the need for hearing protection and reduce noise pollution.
You should do yourself a favor and not listen to the idiots on this website who say silencers are illegal or do not work. They are too stupid to look up accurate information themselves, so getting advice from them is crazy.

Personnally I prefer the Taurus. I think Taurus makes a better Beretta than Beretta does. Forged Steel construction, lifetime warranty of the gun, thumb safety location, less expensive.

Assuming you have the proper license and tax stamp for this "suppressor", any modern Beretta will work with a suppressor as long as the barrel has a attachment point, and these are usually installed by the maker of the suppressor. Also depending on the type you have, you will need to change spring weights as well.

You'll have to get an extended barrel that's threaded, and of course you'll need a class 3 tax stamp.

First off you'd have to legally be able to put a silencer on. Secondly almost every silencer is custom made for a specific gun. So if youd did have the legal right to put one on it would have to be meant for you gun.

Silencers are illegal. Since you asked, you can expect someone from ATF, the FBI, or Homeland Security to be visiting you at your home very soon.
Enjoy prison, you will learn all about being silenced.
