The most worrisome cause of that kind of color might be a low level of oxygen in the blood. Typically your lips would turn purple or blue, but your skin would look kind of gray. You would definitely need to see a doctor about that as soon as possible! Another possible cause grayish skin is a drug called amiodarone.
If you go to an emergency room for an emergency, they can't turn you away, but they will probably try to make you pay later. If you talk to the social workers at the hospital, they will usually be willing to work something out, like a payment plan or a discount. Sometimes they have criteria for making it a charity case.

Hey, really... oghma200… and Miss Won… (above) are right about the emergency room, do it! but, THEY'LL want to be paid too! I don't know how you'll get around that. Claim poverty? ANYBODY KNOW?
But you've got something going on. you should get it taken care of. Else it may get worse and worse.
p.s.: more to come with medical problems as you get older, no? Insurance is quite necessary. Something bad happens and bam!---a $30,000 bill.

It can be caused by heart issues. Have your blood pressure checked and/or go to the Emergency room. Insurance be damned you need to get this checked out.
