Are there affordable (up to $200-$300) hidden camera solutions for inside of a car? Doesn't have to be supper hidden inside of dashboard, just that isn't obvious it's a camera.

I'm not even sure if it is legal to have something like that installed and recording, but let's forget legal issues for a moment.

P.S. Car is mine. its going overseas to a country that is known for corrupt police. it is to protect myself. So, please don't reply with legal aspects of this.

So, once again, if you know any manufacturer that make these camera kits... So far the only thing i found online is outdoor or inhouse (hidden in clocks, etc.), or a board level cameras, which is basically a component for "do it yourself" application. I need something that's "ready to go", just requires the installation.

Any links, or manufacrurer, or model names are greatly appreciated. Tia!

It's certainly illegal if the car isn't yours, no different than if you installed a camera in someone else's house.

Are you looking to monitor the car's occupants or the road?

To my knowledge there is no illegality about it. Many parents are getting them to monitor their teens and I am all for it given how I have seen some of them driving.
