I just got really really freaked out. My chihuahua is almost 5 months. He's gotten "excited" before with his stuffed frog, and i deal with it, didn't think it could get any worse... but just now he got WAY excited. It looked like his insides were coming out... it really scared me. Did my dog just hit puberty or something? Jeeze Louise i feel disgusting that i just saw all that!

Jesus christ people, i'm not 10, i know about the birds and the bees. I know what just happened... i just wasn't ready for that much to come out! He's been doing this for a while and it wasn't like this. It really worried me.

OMG, how old are you? This is natural in male dogs as it is female dogs menstruate. Wait til he does that when he's sitting on your lap. Then you'll really be disgusted.
Not good to use Jesus's name in vane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shame on you!!!

I have some big news for all of you!! Having him neutered will not stop his penis from coming out........When a male is neutered they remove the two testicles. The dog still has a penis and it will still come out. You won't see it as often because they don't get excited like a male that has not been neutered.
They also still hump things. After they are neutered it is more a display of dominance than it is sexual.
It is cruel not to have your male or female neutered or spayed. It makes them a much better pet. They are calmer and behave much better. They will listen to you more. They don't have the sexual urges that makes them run like idiots when someone next door or across the city is in heat. It also stops certain cancers and other health problems.

Hey there, sometimes males with get excited and his male part will appear which im sure you have seen before now...lol but i think what you mean when he got "really excited" was basically what happens when a male breeds with a female and makes a tie, "it looked like his insides coming out" would have been his Bulbus Glandis which usually happens to males when they are breeding with a female . bulbus glandis is a bulb located on the males (guy part) which keeps him tied with a female.

It's nothing to be worried about but I'm sure it was gross. It was just his penis - I'm sure you've seen one before (not necessarily on a dog!). Dogs get erections, too. His insides won't come out - I promise ;)
Just so you all know, neutering will NOT stop this from happening! They get rid of the testicles - not the penis.
You have a male dog so get used to this happening. It will happen more often and it will happen when he is cleaning himself there.
Get him neutered to prevent him from humping you! That will shock you when he gets an erection from your leg.

Your dog has just hit puberty and it's completely normal for him to experiment.Neutering him will curb the habit but won't stop it.
Tell him "NO" harshly every time you catch him doing it.Pretty soon he'll figure out the frog is'nt very satisfying and he'll quit.

He's an animal, acting upon animal instincts. Our daughter's little Gracie has a favorite stuffed bear we call her husband, and for every good reason. Get him neutered as soon as the vet will allow, and turn your head, if necessary, Every dog has his day, and it sounds like your pup is having a batchelor's party.

Since its a male dog his "thing" will stick out. I hate it when my two dogs (a 4yr old choc. lab, Woodie, and a 9 month old choc lab.rotti mix, Charlie) thingys come out. Specially when there on my bed. Theres not much u can do, since u have a boy dog youll have to deal with it. Somepeople say it could go away after it gets neutered but with other dogs i havnt seen it help... my dogs arent though. aND IT IS SOOOOOO DISGUSTING WHEN IT HAPPENS!!!!!!!!! just imagine how worse it is with my two giant dogs!!

do you mean pink stuff was coming out of "there?" well, believe it or not, that was his penis. that's because fur covers it for protection. well, about puberty, he probably just did hit it. just think of an uncircumcised human male. that would help a bit, i hope.
