There are several ways to go about naming your dog...
1. Pick a quality you like about him. For example, if he "hops" around a lot, name him "Hopper"
2. Pick one of your favorite athletes and name him after a last name. For example, Yankees ball player Derek Jeter. Name the dog "Jeter"
3. Pick a favorite charecter from a book or movie you like. There are a million choices there. A very popular name is "Atticus" from the book "How to kill a mockingbird"

Did you know there are web sites that have dog names listed? Naming your dog is a personal thing sort of like naming a baby....it is your decision alone. Pick something that fits the dog and that you like.

How about Checkers, Camo, or Shoes. I got it, Spats (look that up in the dictionary if you don't know what spats are). I like that name the best.
Or name him something that is suited to him. Watch his personality and traits. Take these factors and possibly his colors and honestly, if you do this, one day it will just "zing" into your brain a name that will be most fitting to him.

My choc. labs name is Woodie and my choc. lab/rotti is Charlie. Well his real name is Charlie Black (he cant be Charlie Brown cause hes Black, hence the Black part of name!). My other dogs that i had beofre were Rocky 1 and Rocky 2.

You should choose somthing to go with his personality. For example if he is hyper you might consider naming him spunky. If you just want a creative name then try Cosmo, Odie, Wesley or even Chewbacca.
