Soo...I have a huge exam tomorrow in about 9 hours. I can't seem to get my head right. I feel like its pointless. The strange thing is I'm a good student I love makeing good grades, but my excitement for learning or wanting excell in this class is gone. I'd be happy with a B, tho I KNOW I can get an A. I don't know what psychological issues I'm going through....
but I'd like someone to give some words of encouragement, or maybe even 'hype' me up for this exam so that I TRY for an A,

Please anything to get my head out of this rut. I feel like a writer whose lost his muse.

I know all about losing your muse. i lost mine a couple of years ago. Whenever i tried to write anything -- a poem, a story, an essay, take a test -- I'd find that I was museless. But, ya know what? Sometimes you have to find inspiration elsewhere. I don't know how that relates to what you're going through, but it's the best advice that I can think of, at least right now, because I know how you feel.

It sounds like you're depressed. When you feel that way -- and sometimes you're unaware of it -- you find it hard to do anything. you don't even feel like getting out of bed. I tried to talk to some friends about what I was going through. One of them said that I was lazy, which wasn't true. It doesn't sound like you're lazy. If you were you wouldn't have made the post that you did because you wouldn't care what kind of grades you got. I just felt overwhelmed, when it was happening to me.

Are you overwhelmed? Maybe there are some things going on with you right now that you need to let go of, so that you can move forward. Does that make sense? Once I let go of the things that were hindering me, I got my muse back.

Stop worrying about "psychological issues" and "head not feeling right" kind of fundas. Just tell yourself that you will think about all these deep issues AFTER the exam is over, not now! Prioritise your thoughts. Right now you only have to think of your exam and study for it. The other thoughts will have to go on the back burner to be tackled later. Be in the HERE and NOW. Get cracking! Why go through life with a B when you know you can get an A? There's enough mediocrity in the world, please don't add to it. Go for it!! You can definitely do it!! And you will always feel proud that you burnt that extra oil for a dream!!

Listen to some good inspirational music. If you like girl music listen to perfect day by Hoku. If you find an inspirational song listen to it over when you get discouraged. Also remember why you are taking this class. Remember it is for you passion or future job and career. That is what I usually do. Music helps, but so does Starbucks if you want coffee. Or take a late night study break to somewhere else other than where you live. Just chill. Get plenty of sleep. Eat breakfast. GOOD LUCK!

Just do the best you can at that particular time. Don't think of a grade because then you'll sabotage yourself. Although, I did that reasoning too at times...telling myself that I could live with a lower grade. I think it's a way to relieve the stress of perfection. And it's true, it's not a big deal if you get a B. Relax and just like I said before: do your best regardless of the grade. Good luck on the exam!

Get your sleep.
Have a good breakfast.
Don't drink coffee.
Breathe deeply before the test.
Fifty years from now, you won't remember what grade you got.
Before the next test, form a study group and don't try to learn everything at the last minute.
Don't ever try to hype yourself up for a test, the idea is to relax so your brain can function.
Breathe deeply.

You're marks ahead for understanding yourself and wanting to get out of a rut, so 10 points to you to begin with.
Now, picture the exam like you're at your career job and want to do your best to excel. Picture yourself owning that exam tomorrow morning and plan something afterwards to celebrate. You'll do great! Drop word after your test to let us know how it went! -hugs.

People change. I understand your dilemma, the worst thing you can do though is force a muse upon yourself.

What is the big picture?
You want to get a great job > you have to graduate > you have to pass with honours > you have to get an A average > you have to get an A.

Ok, so that sucked.

What about what is the smallest picture?
I want to do this for my mom.
Or I want one person to smile for me when I do this.

What inspires you again may be just under your nose.

Go... To... Bed...

lol

You have 9 hours and you are online?!?

Sleep and in the moring eat breakfast and understand that a B once in a while means ....

"You are only human"

Be happy during the test.

1 way is to look forward to going somewhere after the test. Like the mall.

2 wear yellow it helps you think

3 just chillax and sleep now

just think that if you try your best that day of the exam , when its over you will be proud of yourself for giving it a 100 percent. just dont think about it too much.. if you think you know what to do on the exam dont worry about it too much.. do something else to get it off your head and when the day comes you will be prepared and ready.. i really dont like to study for things cos i think that i will be thinking about it alot and ill forget. but just think of how much better you will feel if you do get that A
