There may be some dirt on the card contacts or in the card slot on the camera. Try taking the card out, wiping off the metal contacts, and blowing out the card slot. If that doesn't work, try putting the card into a card reader on a computer (or at the drugstore photo machine), and see if the card can be read there.

If you cannot get the card to read anywhere, try Reformating the card in your camera. (You will lose any pics on the card by reformatting.)

If it still doesn't work, it's probably defective. Take it back for warranty replacement, or buy a new one.

Good Luck

you can try some software downloaded free from the net ,search for restore software for jpeg images ,buy a cheap memory card reader for your card type(usb) and try running software and selecting the card ,if card is not totally banjaxed you may recover some images ,then you could attempt a format ,otherwise card is totaled so throw away go onto Internet and order a cheap Kingston memory card ,available from around 12 pound gbp ..
all the best ...Barry...

uhhhh when it says a memory card error theres not much you can do, if you can still access the pictures through using your camera then your camera should have some sort of cable to connect directly PC to camera which i use and is really faster method.

It means your memory card is corrupted. If the recorded pics are not that important, you can reformat the memory card and use again.

It happened to me a number of times and I did just like that...reformat.
