You may find this interesting:

The idea of reincarnation originated in the observance of hereditary and trait resemblance of offspring to ancestors.
The custom of naming children after grandparents and other ancestors was due to belief in reincarnation.

Dreams were looked upon as the experiences of the soul during sleep while temporaryily absent from the body. The savage believes his/her dreams to be just as real as any part of his/her waking experience.

The ancients made a practice of awaking sleepers gradually so that the soul might have time to get back into the body.

The ancients believed that the souls could enter animals or even inanimate objects. This culminated in the werewolf ideas of animal identification.

At least I have given some examples of why I do not believe in reincarnation and these examples are only the tip of the iceburge.

Reincarnation is fiction based on some very old superstitions indeed.

I hope I have at least caused you to think twice. Dreams should not be taken too seriously.

Peace........

Nobody can know for certain. It's an interesting theory, though. It explains why people live such radically different lives (such as a teenager dying of cancer while another person lives healthy into their 90s), both due to learning knowledge as well as a justice system (karma).

The question that was already pointed out is a strong one, though. About how there are more people alive than dead. If we were to believe in reincarnation then that problem has to be taken into consideration.

If I were to just brain storm, the only explanation I could come up with is that perhaps we don't get born into linear time. For example, if you died today then maybe you would be born into another body in the 15th century. This causes us to see time as more of a physical restraint and less spiritual. It definitely requires someone to think outside of the box.

Either way, reincarnation can't really be determined as fact or fiction. I would like to say though - all of those people that go around saying they were born as a "famous" historical figure are either full of it or kidding themselves.

I don't know about people, but some animals are reincarnated. when an animal is born ,with or a parent's help, and this animal knows through instinct, how to walk, how to eat and live on its own, It is a reincarnation of it's parents.
A chicken is a good example. the only thing the parent chicken is needed for is to protect the chicks from harm. they know how to do the rest.

Hello Chris. Reincarnation is a fallacy, is not true, and is in no way possible. The Bible says "It is appointed unto man ONCE to die, and then the judgement" (i.e. before God Almighty). So after death the soul or spirit either goes to heaven to be with God or to hell... and it's for all eternity. There's only one way to heaven... Jesus Christ and asking him to forgive you of your sins. No matter how real these dreams and experiences you are experience seem... it is not of God but the devil. Simple as that friend. There is NO reincarnation, karma, and the caste system was born of the devil. There is the law of sowing and reaping which affects our daily life. Know this is truth and is objective... not relegated to subjectivity or relativity. Hope this helps.

I don't believe anyone will know until they experience it - and even then, once you would be reborn as another person or thing, you would immediately as ignorant of everything as you are in this life (by way I mean unsure of things).

I've had a few dreams and experiences let what you have, but I don't believe reincarnation to be true personally, just another nail in the coffin of life.

Reincarnatiion directly contradicts the resurrection and many other teachings of the Bible. It could not be true. Many things have a bearing on the thoughts we experience but reincarnation is not the answer.

Of course
The reincarnation exist.
but no only one or two
it depends when My Father created You
In my case, I have thousands of reincarnations
If GOD is making You dream Your past reincarnation
it is for a specific reason
Pray to GOD
Just to HIM
No to any Master
Do Your best to live Your last incarnation
the only way is asking to GOD for this beautiful oppotunity
go to saintgermainfoundation.org
get the book I AM and read it.......
You'll understand more about incarnations

It's more likely that your dreams are stemmed from a connection to the past, not the other way 'round. Your subconscious mind can be a spectacular contributor to dreams, sometimes illustrating what you tend to think about.

we can all feel a connection to the past..
if you had never heard about that particular era in history would you still feel that same connection?
or is this a biproduct of your cognition and recollection of memories that have been sythesized into dreams and feelings?
