That's a replacement for the Hebrew YHVH, and was changed out of superstition-the ancient Celts believed the name of a thing was the thing, and had all the powers of the thing named-similar beliefs exist in the Hebrew, where Adam named each thing created, thereby establishing dominance over it. The change was instituted so no one would know the True Name of God, and thus establish dominance over Him. The best candidate for the source of YHVH is probably Yahweh Saboath, a Canaanite diety whose portfolio was volcanoes and warfare.

Gods name is spelled YHVH and when pronounced correctly like it was back then it sounds just like breathing. This is to show that everyone is filled with the LORD from start to end. The first thing a baby does when it is born is breath which sounds like hes saying Gods name YHVH. The last thing someone does before they day is breath which sounds like hes saying Gods name YHVH. God is incorporated into every moment of your life and every breath you take, and the pronunciation of his name is a symbol of that.

A Lord in general is a person in high esteem. It is like a God.

Since the Bible is based on Judiasm, research it the Jewish way and see what you will come up with.

LORD is God. And God is Lord. He has many names:

Jehovah, Elohim, El-Shaddah, etc.

This is interesting and I will research it also.

Forget the arguments over the letter J. Whenever LORD is seen in scripture the names of Jehovah or Jesus Christ befits it.

Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings.

1 Timothy 6:15 - Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Revelation 17:14 - These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Revelation 19:16 - And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

HIS real name is YHWH or with vowels, YAHWEH.

Don't confuse this with Jehovah, for Je or J is not a hebrew letter so its hovah, open up Strong's and seek that definition.

YAHWEH means I AM. You can find his real name in NT under Exodus 3:14. I AM, meaning, YAHWEH.

Watch videos on His name, tetragram, etc from YouTube and you will understand more.
