You sure can have psoriasis on your face. I have it on my face right now. However, it's more likely for it to pop up - rather than on the middle of a cheek or forehead - around crevices and joints: the backs of the ears, the scalp, the hairline, knees and elbows. So I sort of hesitate to say that the face would be the first place it would appear. Psoriasis is also often rather itchy; is she itchy? It could also be eczema; the two diseases are very similar. She's tested negative for impetigo?
Did she recently have a strep throat infection? I broke out with psoriasis as a baby after a strep infection and have had it my whole life - 22 years. I was covered with psoriasis as a kid, head to foot, flakey red spots, like polka-dots. Mom had to constantly soak me in oatmeal and comb the flakes out of my hair and rub me down with tar and Vaseline. But it's gotten much better over the years.
Best luck. If she does have psoriasis, it's really no big deal. Just put a thick lotion like Eucerin on the spots regularly, and don't wash her with real hot water (that dries out the skin).

Yes, it is possible to have psoriasis on any part of the body. A diagnosis of psoriasis is usually based on the appearance of the skin. There are no special blood tests or diagnostic procedures for psoriasis. Sometimes a skin biopsy, or scraping, may be needed to rule out other disorders and to confirm the diagnosis. Skin from a biopsy will show clubbed Rete ridges if positive for psoriasis.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/CuresPsoriasiswsUe everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

RE: Can you have psoriasis on your face?
Because there's something wrong with my little cousin, and no one can figure out what it is. She's been to the hospital, and she's come up negative to almost all of the testing. And this is the only disease that actually makes sense. So, is it possible to have psoriasis on your face?

In diagnosing facial psoriasis, your doctor will examine your lesions and take a personal and family history. Facial psoriasis most often affects the eyebrows, the skin between the nose and upper lip, the upper forehead and the hairline. A biopsy may be needed to distinguish psoriasis from other skin diseases.
Facial psoriasis may respond initially to non-irritating moisturizers and petroleum jelly. Occasional use of mild topical steroids, also called corticosteroids, may be effective. Other treatments include Dovonex (a vitamin D3 derivative, also known by its generic name calcipotriene), Tazorac (a topical vitamin A derivative, also known by its generic name tazarotene), keratolytic products (scale removers) and ultraviolet light. Dovonex and Tazorac can be irritating, so you should work with your doctor to find a way to address this concern.
In December 2000, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a drug called Protopic (also known by its generic name tacrolimus) for eczema. In December 2001, Elidel (also known by its generic name pimecrolimus) was also approved by the FDA for the treatment of eczema. Many dermatologists have also found that both drugs work well for treating psoriasis on the face or other sensitive areas.
Medication used to treat facial psoriasis should be applied carefully and sparingly; creams and ointments can irritate the eyes, and large amounts offer no additional benefits. Because facial skin is delicate, prolonged use of steroids may cause it to become thin, shiny and/or prone to enlarged capillaries (spider veins). Treatment with steroids may be safe if a careful treatment schedule is followed.

Yes . Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease it can affect any part of the body. My husband has had it for about 18 years, it can appear at any age. Have the doctors check there is testing to confirm that it is psoriasis. Ask the dermatologist about different treatments.
