I am looking to track my family roots back through the woodchucks, grasshoppers, and dinosaurs, but have been having some troubles. How have atheists been able to connect their family to donkeys and ants? I have found this difficult so I was looking for help with my project.

And for those of you on the religious right that even question my grasshopper relatives, save your breath! Evolution is a completely flawless theory in every way. It has been proven by someone a bunch of years ago. I saw an experiment about it in some magazine once, so it has to be true. Didn't any Christians see that historical documentary "Planet of the Apes"? Don't ever question evolution, just go with the flow like everyone else.

Clearly evolution is a completely flawless fact in every way and don't ever

Why do atheists not find these comments funny, yet they laugh for hours about the spaghetti man? Seems equally immature to me. Apparently you guys don't like being mocked in childish ways either.

I think your going in the wrong direction, maybe you should start with monkeys, I also tried to track my animal roots and just became very frustrated, there was always a link missing here and there and when I thought I stumbled upon something, the date was never right, sometimes it was a million yrs other times a billion. ahh forget it.

Maybe you can try DNA testing, and possibility you will realise YOUR DNA is 99.9% the same as a donkey. Then you check with your mom what she did.

Ok, some flaws in your questioning.

A. Evolution theory does not include common ancestor. Based on Evolution theory, a grasshopper has no possibility of being a distance relative of human. Put it this way, a dog has no way of impregnating a human.

B. In the evolution theory, the ancestor of human is not an ape but belongs to the same category. It is an un-evolved form of homo sepians called the Homo erectus.

C. In fact if your relatives are grasshoppers, you could even be another species.

D. Which magazine? Planet of the Apes is Science Fiction, Which part of Fiction do you not understand? To an atheist, Planet of the Apes is to be put on to the same category as the bible, called Fiction.

Oh, I see the error of my ways. The bible and all of its stories are so much more believable to me now. I mean, talking snakes, parting sea's, virgin births, floods that cover the earth and a big boat filled with two of every creature. Definitely more believable then evolution. Nobody said that the theory of evolution is flawless, however, there is proof that things do evolve. So make fun of it all you want, but expect even those who normally show respect towards others opinions to get disgusted when someone tries to make a point by being obnoxious and not willing to debate and be open-minded. Oh and I don't normally mock those who believe in God, in fact I am married to someone who does. However, I refuse to show respect for someone who doesn't show respect for others.

Dude... evolution has its flaws but so does religion. I'm a person of faith but don't pretend to believe I'm absolutely one hundred percent right about everything! And just for the record, dude, evolution DOES happen... it has been scientifically proven that certain species can and have become others. Whether or not this TRUTH applies to the human race, we have yet to discover, but evolution DOES happen. My question is why can't evolution be God's tool? Why must they be seperate?

I feel sorrow for you. You seem, from your words, so lost, so unhappy. I could not imagine my life without a connection to the spirits of my ancestors. I would feel empty. If I could offer you a path, an easy way to end your unhappiness, a simple solution, I would. But I do not believe there is one. If it was as simple as an incantation, a prayer, a matter of 'simply believing', I would tell you of it. I do not like to see people suffer, but I am sorry, I cannot help you with these things. It is one of the burdens I must carry in my life that I can only do so much. I will talk with my brother the Sun about this, for I feel I need His wisdom, his guidance, his succour. He will set me right. He will remind me I am only a man, but a man with a good heart. A man who cares enough to weep for his brother's misfortunes.

Well to start with you have to take an arcane course called
B I O L O G Y. It's in a bizarrely unknown area of human research known as S C I E N C E.

I understand, you've never heard of it. Few people of your persuasion ever have. Start simple, maybe an earth science. Any eighth grader can loan you theirs. Then progress to the biology course. You may have to take it several times, it has very hard stuff like the difference between animals and plants.

Eventually you'll get the parts you want to find out.

Oh yeah, except for the few HUNDRED mentioned on this site: http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/

Get a life, read some science books.

Your failure to realize that Christianity and evolution do not contradict each other is a bad as some atheists saying that because of evolution Christianity is all wrong.

Listen, evolution is completely flawed. It happened just like it said in the Bible. God created Adam out of dust and then tore his freaking rib out to create Eve. Everybody no that boy!

If God created everything, how can you be so certain God didn't create evolution? Remember, it wasn't too long ago people like you were insisting that the Earth was flat!!
