We had just finished watching a movie & he told me he had bought me my favorite Easter chocolate...a Kinder Surprise Egg (they're soooo good). So I broke it open to get the prize (usually a toy...a real challenge to piece together). As I stuffed my face with the chocolate, I opened the prize....and found the diamond ring. He told me later that I deserved the sweetest proposal possible. It took him six eggs, a razor blade & chocolate icing to piece the egg back together...then get the wrapper back on "just so". It was flawless...the egg...the ring...the proposal...and my husband of five years. :)

On January 5, 2007, he came home from "work" early. (I later found out he had taken the day off to go buy me a ring!) He kept asking if I wanted a Mountain Dew and I kept saying no because I wasn't thirsty. Finally I caved and said "Okay! I'll take a Mountain Dew!" He came over to me with the MD behind his back and told me to stand up and close my eyes, so I did. When I was told to open them, he was down on one knee with the MD in his hand and a ring on the tab. And he proposed. I was so excited I almost fell over and had to sit down next to him before I could even answer. I finally said "YES!" and hugged him for an eternity, crying my eyes out.
It may not be the most romantic way (but Jason isn't a very romantic guy), but it was truly the best! He said he just couldn't take the time to plan anything too fancy because he couldn't wait another second to ask me. Now if that isn't romantic, I don't know what is!

He proposed last December while we were walking along the beach at night, with the moon and stars overhead sooo romantic. We've technically been engaged since last August, but I had been using my promise ring as an engagement ring. But for Christmas he decided to surprise me with a real engagement ring and proposed again. It was all very sweet.

There is a beautiful place called albert pike where I live. It's in the mountains with lakes all around it. My fiance took me up there to spend the day. We had a blast. We hiked, swam, fished, had a picnic and just spent time together. After the last hike I was exhausted. (I ain't in perfect shape) Well he said he had one last hike he wanted to do. On the way I looked up this mountain and saw a tiny hole and asked what it was. He said it was a cave. It was so high it looked like a dot. Well we started our hike and I kinda got well lets say bitchy!! He was determined to get me up this mountain. I yelled at him the whole way up telling him how much I hated him for making me do this. *i was wearing flip flops* and all he would say was just get your *** up here right now you are not turning back. When we reached the top I noticed a huge rock, we climbed inside and low and behold we were in that cave overlooking mountains and rivers and everything. It was so beautiful. I was so amazed I just kept looking out at the view and when I turned around he was on his knees. He told me what I meant to him and then popped the question. We have been engaged for 3 yrs now and are expecting a baby girl in 11 days!!!!

On Dec 17th, 2004! My now Husband and I went to eat at Texas Roadhouse ( we live in OKC) and then proceeded on to Bricktown... all of the Christmas lights were on it was very pretty. We went on a carriage ride past the Mariad Gardens. When we were done we went to a fountain in the heart of bricktown where he got on one knee and gave me my ring. He gave a beautiful little speech and it was just so amazing!

we were going to go skiing (my biggest passion besides him) for our 2 1/2 year dating anniversary. but there was a nasty storm that week which closed the pass and put the lights out of the whole city for a few days. So instead we went to his sisters house for breakfast (she had electricity in seattle) and spent the day with his family while he went with some buddies. later that night We went to the movie theatre(one of the only places with electricity back) and saw "Persuit of Happyness" (sooo cute btw). He then took me to the rooftop looking over the dark city with only a few light and stars(beautiful). He said "so Ashley, I love you" - i could tell he wanted to say more but he was soo nervous and soo cute- then he pulled out a lil blue box and said " Merry Christmas" oh my goodness i just started bawling happy tears!
Turns out the whole time he was "out with his buddies" he was getting the ring and wrapping it.
i love him :)

I remember we picked out the ring, and he got down on one knee when he gave it to me, but I don't remember how the whole topic first began exactly. We both sort of just knew right from the beginning that it was meant to be.

He asked with his eyes, and I said yes with mine ;)

My ex and I were sitting on the couch, I was watching TV and he was cleaning out an old CD case. A dirty ring fell out of a pocket and he handed it to me and said "Here".
That was it... we were engaged...

And a few months later we broke up... thank god.
