i have the rockford punch 1800 watt mono amp and i have two 12" mtx 8500's and i wanna put them in the thunder box that had the 5500's in them will this be ok.

The speakers are 1000 watts each that should be fine for 1800 watt amp. Never put an amp that has more power than the speakers can handle. 2 x 1000 = 2000.
I don't know the box, if it fits inside it should be OK. Dimension is the only thing you have to worry about, the end result is for you to decide

Dont get a Sony amp. Sony vehicle audio is junk, believe me! you probable prefer the amp by way of fact it says it places out fairly some ability, and different amps with the comparable ability fee lots extra. fairly some businesses overrate their amps to sell extra. The amp is probable extra considerable than the sub itself. a good sub and much less high priced amp is like having a circumvent Viper with a bypass-cart engine... remember, you get what you pay for!

you need to measure the mounting depth. And make sure them amp is atleast the same amount or more watts rms than the subs. You will need to know the ohms of the subs and make sure there fine for the amp.

they should be good.just make sure the amp is enough power for both.
