I'm planning to visit Chiangmai in mid Aug, i would like to know which places shall i visit and if can, any recommendation on hotels with reasonable rates? Is 4 days 3 nites enough for me tour around?

chiangmai will be hot with rain during august/september however that shouldn't stop you from having a good time. Rain is usually brief and hard, 4 days should be enough. Any tour office can put a package together for you to see what you like. Also Korat is in the northeast (lower half), I believe the people from the northeast are the Nicest people in thailand, a nice place to also visit. and no doubt a smile from a northeastern women will melt your heart. Yes the SEA games will be hosted by Korat in December.

hi there korad is in the north east of Thailand is near the Laos part but far away from Bangkok about 4hours by car. its big city and lovely.
i am from Surin, which is near Korad and we speak Laos and Thai languages. now i am in UK united kingdom

It is the rainy season. Try the Novotel. It is convenient and they are ususally running specials.
