There isn't a maturity difference between your age and a guy ONE year younger. No matter the age a person will be mature based on THEIR personality type.
It's only weird if you make it weird.
Your comment suggests that you are very young and still maturing.
May you find peace with your "age discrimination."
I have a feeling your in High School or younger. Only then did it really ever bother anyone.

That is not enough years difference to give any thought to. My brother of 45 has dated a 60 yo and my sister of 39 has dated a 62 yo. NOW THAT IS GROSS. My female friend is 46 and her boyfriend is 36. That's a little gross but not terrible. I'm 38 but I like my women under 30. That's just my likings and also the reason I've been single for 3 years. Go with what your heart tells you, that's all that matters..

I've been with my man for a year and a half and he's 11 month's younger than me.
Too bad that you think it is bad. Double standards show that it's okay for an older man to date a younger woman and vice versa is just wrong. You should be able to do what you want.

Depends on the actual ages!
I have a 42 year old friend with a 35 year old hubby, and a 64 year old friend with a 50 year old hubby!
1 year is pretty meaningless, unless it's 17 & 18.....in which case one of you can go to jail!

No, it's not weird at all. Lot's of women date younger guys. My cousin (who is a guy) dated a girl who was 3 years older than him.

Its alrite, my gal is older than me by a year too.
Shes 27 and I am 26.
Maturality wise, I am still a kid who plays Bemani games at the arcade, but I hold a job and a responsible one too.
Relationship wise, it sometimes help to show that you can give her security, but a peck of fun won't ruin your relationship rite? Give her something to laugh or smile about.

I think it's fine. I dated a younger guy once and he was one of the nicest best boyfriends I have ever had. We are still friends though it didn't work... not because of the age.

Not at all...you really like him now and in the case you fall in love with him, age will not matter. I'm almost a year older than my husband but he is mature and it's never even been a thought since I fell in love with him.
