throughout the world can anyone tell me if consecutive numbers have ever been drawn starting at 1 eg 1.2.3.4.5.6 supplementary number 7. And if not what are the chances of this event occuring..hope someone can answer this as its had me wondering for a long time.

Yes, its the same probability as any other random drawing of numbers...but to my knowledge it has not happened in a major lottery in the united states or abroad.

But something to add to the initial response...even though the probability of playing these numbers are just as likely to hit...one should NOT play them. This is because it is much more likely that other people will play the same numbers and you will have to possibly split jackpots with multiple people.

Given that the numbers are selected randomly, there's as much chance of 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 being the numbers as there is of any other seven numbers being picked. I believe the odds of winning the UK lottery is 14 million to one, or so.

Like in board games, rolling a six is usually "lucky" but given the randomness of it, a six is every bit as likely to occur as any other number.
