no..he bites even harder and seems to get viscious..We've tried the whole yell "ow" loudly to scare him and it doesn't work..He's other wise a sweet dog and is really good, We don't know if it's the whole dominant thing but we've tried those exercises too like grabbing his scruff when he does it as does a momma dog(we've also tried ignoring him but when we come back he still bites) ...NOTHING is working and it's gettin VERY frusterating..please if you have any advice I'd like it. Thank you so much

When you "Ow!" or "Yipe!" you need to follow that up by leaving. Abruptly. According to your description, the puppy is not making the connection between his biting and "game over."
Please don't shake him by the scruff. Humans can't possibly expect to ever duplicate exactly what another dog would do, so please don't try it. Trying to punish a dog like the way you describe teaches him to not trust you.
Be sure that *everyone* who interacts with your puppy is doing the same thing. If one person lets the puppy get away with biting, all of your teaching will not make a difference.....Be kind to your pup - don't use choke chains or spanking, as this is just more inappropriate punishment that won't teach your dog a thing.
