..i mean if it costs upwards of 3500.00 for a 30 second procedure.. then the insurance must be what drives up the price.. so the insurance companies must have had to pay out several times from procedures gone bad...or the optometrists are just rip offs

Most insurance companies don't pay for Lasik eye surgery. It sometimes is considered cosmetic. I had it done over a year ago but I have very dry eyes and I can tell regression of my eye sight. But it beats wearing glasses or contacts.

its not a rip off. it is worth the cost from the money you would save on eye appointments, buying glasses/contact and the inconvenience of having to wear glasses and/or contacts.

they arent rip offs.
not that many procedures go bay like you think or have been told. go to a recommended or well known doctor someone else has been to and trusts.
