Heresy is in the ear of the listener. If the listener finds it not so, then it's not heresy. Then you're 'preaching to the converted'.
If the listener is offended or worse, then THEY consider it heresy.
Heresy can be a good thing because the ones defining it are bad people(to put it mildly).
Heresy can be a bad thing if IT is practised with harm in the name of its being just for the sake of complying to it whatever form it takes.
To take it political, heresy could be defined as a 'core' Republican voting democrat or vice-versa.
I've spoken 'heresy' on Y!A countless times due to my rants about 43(the prez) - at least to his 'core'. The dems probably love it. Then it becomes a 'religion' of sorts. Either way, it's a 'religion'. Go figure!! Yada, yada, yada.
