well i just found out that my sis might have an ulcer. And I was reading that it's contagious through close contact. Well can't my family get it because we use the same forks and plates that she uses. If anybody have any info on this ulcer could u please tell me. It doesnt matter what it is as long as u can help us to deal with it without getting contanimaated.

HAHA!!don't worry it is NOT considered contagious in any way....
If you are diagnosing your sis based on her symptoms then most likely it's just Gastritis...which is easily treatable.
If however she has been medically diagnosed to have Peptic ulcer disease...
There are many medical treatments...failing which even surgery can be done...
It is an eminently curable condition! And NOT COMMUNICABLE!!

Hey Baby (that's quite funny- I'm LMAO!). People who have been paying attention to my health question answers on here would almost think that I'm Hypochondriac or something, but I have actually experienced all the diseases that I have told various people about- really bad luck! One of the things includes ulcers like yourself- duodenal ulcers is the proper terminology for this- the lower stomach- which is caused by a bacteria called Heliocobactor Pylori! This could be contagious like any other bacteria. I always give Dr. Barry Marshall (an Australian Doctor credit for this because I saw his original studies when I got one of these ulcers in the past when everyone thought he was insane or was some kind of idiot for his discovery) and this cured my ulcer with what is called triple therapy- two types of anti-biotics combined with Bismuth (an antacid like Pepto Bizmo).

some stomach ulcers contail a bacteria type known as H. Pylori.

Living with a person with H. Pylori doesn't increase your risk of getting stomach ulcers. This doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful when washing your dishes.

I've never heard of an ulcer being contagious.
But to be on the safe side, I would stop sharing all utensils and such until you know more.
If she has seen a doctor, have him explain all about it to her and your family.
