My husband just got the flu. He got dizzy at 6 and was throwing up by 8. He's been sick twice. How long before I catch it?

The stomach "flu" has an incubation time between 24 - 48 hours, however I wouldn't just automatically assume it's the flu unless he knows others that have had it recently (of course you can get it from someone at a store etc too.) Dizziness followed by throwing up (esp rather violently) can be food poisoning as well. You are living with him, so you would know better than I, but don't rule out another (non-contagious) cause.

It takes 3 days for you to show symptoms if you've caught what the other person has.

Make him sleep on the couch & avoid getting it altogether.

You may be lucky... it could be a case of minor food poisoning. :)
