I would rather have loved and lost someone, than to never have loved at all.
Sheryl Crow was damn right when she says that "the first cut is the deepest"... I was with my first for three years, and when we broke up I was a mess. But from that experience I learned what I like. I learned a lot about myself. Learned about what I will and will not tolerate, what I enjoy, dislike, etc.
As mad as I was with him.... at first I was ok... but then i was a mess, crying, cussing, you name it. I wished every sort of horrible death on him that I possibly could.
But it's been a good amount of years now, and I did realize that I really loved him and love that I learned about myself from him. If I had never loved and lost him, I would never be the strong woman I am today. I'm independent but also loving, and caring. I give all. Perhaps that's what my problem was. lol. Anyway!
Point is... love & lose... you learn about yourself, more than you would ever realize... and it makes you a stronger/better person for having been able to open yourself up to someone in such an intimate way.
Take it easy,
miR:)

The people who say that its better not to love at all, have never been IN love. Even though a relationship might be over the memories that you guys made should never be forgotten. But if thinking about him brings you sadness then remember to be grateful that you had him for a little while. cuz he made you happy and happiness is hard to come by.

At this point I would say never loved at all. If I could be happy and without heartbreak then I choose that. I will trade the memories because at the moment all they bring is pain and hurt.
