Nobody that saw Sylvia in his title defenses before that. The guy was fighting to keep the belt, that was all he was doing. He wasnt trying to KO people, he was just trying to win on points and if he did KO someone kudos to him. The guy was on borrowed time with the way he was fighting, Couture just happened to be a guy who had a good game plan and got the W first. Sylvia, Franklin, and Hughes out of those three the only guy that deserves a belt is Hughes he is the only one who no matter who he was fighting went out there and gave everything and acted like every opponent could take his belt. He got caught trying to play someone elses game and got beat, but I think he will get his belt back.

I was suprised, I wanted Randy to win but I thought he would have more trouble with the huge reach advantage that Sylvia had. Also, I figured where Randy had been knocked out a few times in his recent fights that this could really be bad for Randy. The last factor that I though would be bad for Randy is that Sylvia is a much heavier guy then Randy. I was surprised but extremely happy to see Randy win, I will from now on always believe in Randy.

I trust both one in all those adult adult males, yet for various causes. Tim the Maine-iac is the worst champion in the UFC. he's in the load type with the shallowest expertise pool and places on the least thrilling fights. i favor Randy Couture to come back again and win, yet he gained't. Sylvia is basically a higher version of Chuck Liddell. Heavy palms and puzzling to take down. he's weak to submissions, as Frank Mir and Arlovski have shown, so i wish Couture is perfecting his leg locks and arm bars. Sylvia is a manufactured from a weak branch in the UFC and that i imagine Couture is coming again to reveal that. even if, the UFC in simple terms were given an excellent strengthen with assistance from signing the #2 heavyweight in the international, Mirko CroCop. Whoever wins between Couture and Sylvia will be destroyed with assistance from CroCop, who's more advantageous gifted and far more advantageous thrilling than the present champ. with somewhat of success Brandon Vera (who also ought to conquer Sylvia) will re-signal with the UFC and make the heavyweight branch more advantageous explosive. Oh, Sylvia KO's Couture in round 2. And Maine sucks!

Me. I'm not a fan of Tim Sylvia by any means but I figured even he could stretch out a 5 round decision win over Couture.

I wasn't surprised, because I know that Randy Couture unleashed himself back out into the playing games once again, with his mad take down/ wrestling skills. I am just glad to see it turn out the way it did, and I know Couture is an amazing athlete. Hopefully, he will keep the title, but I am not sure what the process is at the moment anymore. Thanks.

i was more surprised that Sylvia didn't change his intensity when he fought Couture. he practically showed the same thing he showed Monson, and that was so bad i didn't even bother finishing watching that one. if i looked at it stats-wise i'd be surprised if Couture won, but he didn't just come out of retirement to get paid. he stepped back because of the game, not the money. that's not surprising.

I was, Randy is much smaller and he has had a history of trouble fighting against bigger men. He came in with a great game plan though, and took it to Tim.

I wasn't. Couture fought better from the get go. I was not at all surprised that he won.

I was kind of... but, Sylvia is fat and lazy.......so I am not that surprised.....I am happy he lost.....You could fall asleep during his last 2 fights, and not miss anything but a left jab thrown about a 1000 times!!! Thanks

I was not. I was surprised he stood up as much as he did, but I wasn't surprised he won.
