In my school, I'm "pretty fly" with the whole school and everything, and he has to have seen that too. Last week i asked him out and i told him that I'd give him time to answer... a week later he tells my friend that he has to "decline" my offer. so, now I'm embarrassed that a band geek turned me down.
He liked me last year too... :(

maybe he thinks it is a joke, or what is the point none of the same friends would make it hard. I hope your not playing around with him that would be mean. If you are serious, try to talk to him with out everyone around.

I think it's funny that popular, hot girls think that every guy would just jump at the chance to be with them. That isn't really the case at all. Sure all of the shallow, superficial guys go for them in a heartbeat but the smart, unpopular guys are looking for someone with more to offer than you've got. I'd say that he won't go out with you because he's more mature now than when he liked you last year and you no longer hold much of any appeal for him.

There are many reasons. One is that he may not be single. Another that is possibly more relevant is that in the mind of an intellectual a popular girl may not offer much in a relationship unless there is more to her than just a pretty face and a cheerleader uniform. If he is mature enough he may see that the potential for a high quality relationship is low simply due to your differences.

Because he thinks you are doing to for you can dump on him. Look how you told us how you are compared to him. I would be afraid that you would dump me to. So now your only embarrassed because a nerd didn't except your invitation. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Read what you just wrote. Then when you are women enough to ask him out without making him feel bad and say I like you maybe i did it the wrong way can you come over and watch TV, so its not some contest. He say yes because maybe you are nice and he does like you. What was the real reason I hope it wasn't a bet. I hope embarrassed is all you get in today society some kids are fragile and harm themself over crap like this

With that kind of attitude he probably thinks he'll get hurt. Especially if you're so popular & he's such a geek. Why would he put himself out there like that. I think you need to feel humiliation like that if you're going to believe you're better than him. Why do you teenagers all think it's a popularity contest. Just get along w/ everyone & stop thinking you're better than everyone else that will get you a lot further in life.

Some guys are like that if u do not come to them when he wanted u they remember and move on. Like u should. First of all you call him geek because u think u are all that. NEXT!

+ I have lots of band friends..if you went to standley you would get beat upp!!!

maybe he doesnt like you because you dont think of him as a person!! he is a human !

popularity is probably the least of his concerns....don't be embarrassed that you were turned down, be embarrassed that you're asking a superficial question like this and actually think you're superior to this poor boy who you have the nerve to call a "band geek."

I KNOW WHY i knew some people in the same situation listen to what i say: He really likes you a lot the problem isn't you . The problem is that he thinks that you are to good for him or something like that or maybe he is ashamed to show his type of lifestyle to you!! that's how some guys are really! because they think you will just laugh at him because he is nerdy if you really like him don't give up until he tells you why he doesn't.

did you ever watch the movie " carrie"? there are many more out there where the "popular" person , totally humiliates the geek
maybe he doesn't want that
or maybe not to burst your bubble- not everyone thinks you are "pretty fly"
